ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION
A community of practice for University Libraries
University Librarians Ghana (ULG) is the professional association of librarians who lead the academic and research libraries of Ghana’s universities. It exists to give the profession a unified national voice and a shared standard of practice.
Through ULG, member libraries coordinate on collection development, scholarly communication, digital infrastructure, and information literacy — turning isolated institutional effort into collective progress. The association works closely with the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Ghana (CARLIGH) and other partners to widen access to electronic resources and open educational materials.
ULG also represents the interests of academic librarians in national conversations on higher education, research, and knowledge policy, and develops the frameworks and guidance that help libraries serve their universities well
